2022 OPERATION SANTA CLAUS OFFICIAL RULES
Contest Name: 22nd Annual Operation Santa Claus (the “Contest”)
The “Company”: Sanderson Ford and Sanderson Lincoln.
Operation Santa Claus is a 501(c) (3) charity #26-1558976 to raise donations
for many valley charities including St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance,
Special Olympics Arizona, Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center
(SARRC), Military Assistance Mission (MAM) and Chicanos Por La Causa.
Participants are requested to make voluntary donation(s) of non perishable
foods, new toys, child size clothing, and or monetary donations. Proceeds
from all donations will be given directly to the charities.
Sanderson Ford, and Sanderson Lincoln (the “Company”) will conduct the
Contest substantially as described in these rules, and by participating, each
participant agrees as follows:
If you have been drawn as one of the 15 finalists within the past 5 years,
you are not eligible to participate in the contest this year. All previous grand
prize (vehicle) winners are not eligible to participate.
For donations, participants are allowed to fill out one donor entry slip or
digital entry per accepted donated item. In the case of monetary donations,
participants may fill out one slip or digital entry for every $5.00 donation. In
an effort to keep the promotion fair, obvious attempts to stuff the box will
not be accepted. For example, participants bringing in cases of loose unpacked
items will be allowed one slip per case or package. Upon arrival at
any of the drop off locations, check in at the desk and a “Company” representative
will help you check in your donations and give you the appropriate
amount of donor registration slips or digital entries. Items of no nutritional
value or anything else the company deems inappropriate for the
charities we serve will not be accepted.
Grand Prize: At the end of the contest period, one grand prize winner will
receive their choice of a new 2022 Ford F-150 SuperCrew with
VIN # 1FTEWICP2NKE63501 with a MSRP of $47,180.00 or
2022 Lincoln Corsair with VIN # 5LMCJ2C93NUL29736 with a MSRP of
Dates of Contest: The Contest will begin on Thursday, November 10th,
2022 at 8:00am and end on Monday, December 20th, 2022 at 6:00 PM.
Any donations made prior to 8:00AM November 10th, 2022 or after December
20th at 6:00PM 2022 will not be eligible to win.

A total of 5 drawings will be held on the following dates to select 15 finalists
that will be eligible to win the grand prize.
•Wednesday, November 23, 2022 on ABC15
•Wednesday, November 30, 2022 on ABC15
•Wednesday, December 7, 2022 on ABC15
•Wednesday, December 14, 2022 on ABC15
•Monday, December 19, 2022 during the 4pm, 5pm and 6pm news on
The drawings will take place live and/or during taped segments on ABC15.
The final 3 keys will be drawn at Sanderson Ford on December 19th during
the 4-5 and 6pm news.
These times are subject to change in the event of breaking news and or
On the above listed days, three (3) names will be drawn on each of the 5
drawing days. The 15 finalists will have an opportunity to win the grand
prize. A $100 Visa gift card which will given to the finalists at the rules
meeting on December 22, 2022 at ACB15. Finalists must be present to receive
the gift card. No substitutions allowed.
The cut off for digital entries is 3pm on December 20th, 2022.
The cut off for hand filled out entries is 6pm on December 20th, 2022
The (15) finalists randomly drawn will be notified by phone and or email.
Each finalist will have 3 days to respond, with the exception of the final 3
finalists drawn on December 20th. The final 3 must respond to phone call
and or email by 8pm. All finalists must attend the grand prize giveaway on
December 22nd, 2022 at ABC15 studios located at 515 N 44th street,
Phoenix, AZ 85008. Finalists must check in at 8am on December 22nd,
2022. If finalist’s can not be reached or can not attend the finale on December
22nd for any reason they will be replaced with randomly drawn alternates.
Each one of the 15 finalists will receive a randomly drawn key fob. The key
fob holder that starts the vehicle wins their choice of either the Ford F-150
truck or Lincoln Corsair. There is only one grand prize winner. As soon as
the vehicle starts the giveaway is over.
No purchase is necessary. Winner must be present on December 22nd,
2022 to win.
(Grand Prize). The eligible winner will have the choice of of a new 2022
Ford F-150 SuperCrew OR a 2022 Lincoln Corsair.
Other Requirements and information:
Participants are allowed one visit, per day, per location to make donation(s)
and fill out donor registration slip(s) or digital entries. Digital entries or hand
filled out entries must be filled out and submitted at Sanderson Ford,
Sanderson Lincoln, Sanderson Lincoln Boutique and or select U-HAUL locations,
or at authorized events. At time of making donations. Participants
are not allowed to take entry slips off the premises. Entry slips must be
handwritten on official entry forms or digitally entered at locations listed. No
photocopies, stamps, stickers or mechanical reproductions of entry forms
are permitted. Slips must be completely filled out or digitally entered on-site
at time of donation.
Participants and winners must be at least 18 years of age on November
10th 2022, be U.S. residents, with a valid current drivers license. Employees
and members of their immediate family at Sanderson Ford, Sanderson
Lincoln, U-HAUL and ABC15 TV are not eligible to win. The term “immediate
family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, and children.
If the winner is disqualified for any reason, the “Company” reserves the
right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, in
its sole discretion.
Use of Personal Information: By participating, all participants and winner
grant the “Company” exclusive permission to use their names, characters,
photographs, voices, and likenesses in connection with marketing Operation
Release: By participating, each participant and winner waives any and all
claims of liability against the “Company”, its employees and agents, the
Contest’s sponsors and their respective employees and agents, for any
personal injury or loss which may occur from the conduct of, or participation
in, the Contest, or from the use of any prize. In order to receive a prize, participants
must sign an official waiver form provided by the “Company”.
Taxes: Any valuation of the prize(s) stated above is based on available
information provided to the “Company”, and the value of any prize awarded
to a winner will be reported for tax purposes as required by law. Each winner
is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable
taxes and vehicle registration fees related to the vehicle prize and paying
any expenses associated with any prize which are not specifically provided
for in the official rules.
Winner agrees to accept the Ford F-150 or Lincoln Corsair in as is condition.
Both vehicles will be used to promote the contest and will have additional
mileage and wear and tear associated with contest use. Each winner
must provide the “Company” with a valid taxpayer identification number or
social security number before any prize will be awarded. Prize is not transferable,
winner has the option to take $30,000 in lieu of choosing the Ford
F-150 OR Lincoln Nautilus
Any person winning any prize will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of
the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.
Decisions: By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound
by the decisions of “Company” personnel. The “Company” reserves the
right to disqualify any participant or winner and may refuse to award any
prize to a person who is ineligible or who the “Company” believes has violated
any rule, gained unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or
obtained winner status using fraudulent means. The “Company” will interpret
these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities
concerning the rules or the Contest and the “Company’s” decisions concerning
such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of the Contest
is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of
any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of the
“Company”, the “Company” reserves the right to terminate this
Contest, or make other decisions regarding the outcome as the “Company”
deems appropriate. All decisions will be made by the “Company” and are
final. The “Company” may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion.
Miscellaneous: Each winner must submit proof of eligibility prior to receiving
key that may or may not start the car. Grand prize Winner will be required
to sign “Company’s” release form to claim the prize. No purchase is
necessary to participate or win. Purchase does not increase chance of winning.
Void where prohibited. Odds of winning depend upon the number of
participants and donations. The “Company” disclaims any responsibility to
notify participants of any aspect related to the conduct of the Contest. Written
copies of these rules are available during normal business hours at
Sanderson Ford, 6400 North 51st Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301 and
Sanderson Lincoln 2121 West Bell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85023. Official rules

Compliance with Law: The conduct of the Contest is governed by the applicable
laws of the State of Arizona, which take precedence over any rule
to the contrary herein. Sponsors shall follow the applicable laws for conducting
contests. Winners assume all liability and agree to hold Sponsor
harmless for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by
participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any prize.
Donations to Operation Santa Claus without entry to win grand prize are
tax deductible. Making donation(s) and submitting entries for chance to win
are not tax deductible.
ABC15 TV, KASW-TV and their parent Scripps Media, Inc. are Media
Providers and are in no way a sponsor or administrator of this Contest.
